In teacher training as well as in textbooks of education psychology it often assumed that teachers have a tendency to pay more attention to boys than to girls in the classroom. We used mobile-eye tracking as a new low-inference technology to test the gender bias hypothesis dependent on teacher gender and expertise applying Hierarchical Linear Modeling.
