Flexible childcare at TUM
Short-term appointments and commitments outside of regular childcare hours often present parents with a major challenge. We are happy to support you with the following flexible childcare services.
Family rooms located at the different TUM campuses offer pregnant women as well as mothers and fathers with their children a place to relax and get some work done. If required (in case of appointments or lectures outside regular childcare hours, for example), flexible childcare is offered in some of these rooms on an hourly basis. Please note that the concept of flexible childcare at TUM cannot replace regular (full-time) childcare!

TUM4Kids is a project of TUM Family Service, which is intended to contribute to a better compatibility of family and career or studies. On the university's online platform (based on Moodle), mainly TUM students offer babysitting and tutoring services. Whether to overcome care shortage, for short-term care needs, during examination periods or conferences. The childcare assignments can be flexibly arranged and are possible for children of different ages. Only TUM members have access to the babysitting and tutoring profiles. Interested parents contact the caregivers they have chosen independently and make individual arrangements.
