How can you care for a family member when you live hundreds of kilometers apart? Is it even possible? Yes, it is, but it comes with unique challenges.
Many long-distance caregivers worry that they cannot accurately assess the situation on site and may not be able to reach their relative quickly in an emergency. They often feel torn between responsibilities and experience feelings of guilt.
In this talk, journalist and author Peggy Elfmann will discuss the challenges of long-distance caregiving and share practical strategies and support options. Drawing on her own experience, she will explore what can help caregivers find a healthy balance without becoming overwhelmed.
