TUM has appointed Prof. Winfried Nerdinger as its Antisemitism commissioner. Nerdinger, professor emeritus of architectural history and founding director of the Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism, supports and advises the university in preventing antisemitism. The primary task of the Gender Equality Officer is to enforce real equality of women and men at TUM. She is the contact person for students and research staff, whereas the Equal Opportunity Officer is the contact person regarding all equality issues of non-scientific staff.
- The Diversity & Queer Department of the General Students' Committee offers a platform for students who do not find themselves within the current sexual and gender norm or belong to other minorities.

In legal and employment contexts, Schwerbehinderung refers to a legally recognized level of disability that entitles individuals to certain rights, protections, and support measures under German social and employment law.

The TUM Family Service is available as a point of contact for all TUM members with questions regarding the compatibility of family and career/studies. The Munich Student Union also provides advice on studying with children.

If you have any health concerns, the organizational medical service and the organizational psychological service are at your disposal. Students and doctoral candidates enrolled at TUM can also seek advice from the Munich Student Union or the student health management service TUM4health in its broad advisory network.
