Holiday Care at the TUM 2026
The TUM Family Service will once again organize an exciting holiday childcare program in 2026 at the Munich, Garching, and Freising-Weihenstephan campuses.
During three weeks in the summer holidays, as well as at Easter and on public holiday (Buß- und Bettag), children aged 6 to 11 years (grades 1 to 5) can look forward to a varied program full of games, creativity, and exciting discoveries. The programs are professionally organized and carried out by an external agency.
This offer is exclusively for children of TUM employees and students.

In the first week of the Easter holidays, the TUM Family Service, together with the agency R.U.F., is offering a varied holiday program for children aged 6 to 11. Instead of week‑long childcare, children can take part in individual workshop days covering a wide range of exciting topics.

Location: TUM Campus Freising-Weihenstephan
A shuttle service from Freising to Garching will be offered for the two workshop days in Garching. Please note: the shuttle can only operate if between 5 and 8 children register for it. We will inform you in good time once it is confirmed.
Shuttle schedule:
- Outbound trip: 8:14 a.m. from Freising train station with bus X660 to Garching Forschungszentrum, arrival at 8:37 a.m.
- Return trip: 3:21 p.m. from Garching Forschungszentrum with bus X660 to Freising train station, arrival at 3:43 p.m.
On the workshop days in Garching, you may additionally book a warm lunch for €5. On all other days, please provide your child with enough packed food.
Participation & Registration
This program is offered exclusively for children of TUM employees and students and will take place with a minimum of 15 participants.
- Participation fee: €15 per child per day (or €20 including lunch on the Garching workshop days)
- Registration: Please register your child/children no later than 9 March 2026.

In the first week of the summer holidays, the TUM Family Service, together with the agency R.U.F., is offering a varied holiday program for children aged 6 to 11. Everything will revolve around baking, mixing, and tasting!
The holiday program will take place at the TUM Campus Munich (Barerstr. 21). Supervision will be provided daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participation & Registration
The offer is exclusively for children of TUM employees and students and will take place with a minimum of 15 participants.
Participation fee: €90 per child for the entire week
(→ €75 plus €15 for a warm lunch on three days)
Registration: Please register your child/children no later than July 6, 2026.

In the second week of the summer holidays, the TUM Family Service, together with the agency R.U.F., is offering a varied holiday program for children aged 6 to 11. Everything will revolve around planets, stars, and rockets!
The holiday program will take place at the TUM Campus Garching (Boltzmannstr. 3). Supervision will be provided daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A shuttle service from Freising to Garching will be offered for this week. Please note: The shuttle can only operate if between 5 and 8 children register. We will inform you in good time as soon as it is confirmed whether the shuttle will take place. The shuttle departure and return times will be announced soon.
