The German Diversity Day takes place every year since the initiation through the association Charta der Vielfalt e.V. This year, we celebrate the TUM Diversity Month in June.
TUM was the first university to sign the Charta of Diversity in 2007. With this act TUM committed itself to create a working space which is free of prejudices and exclusion. A working culture, which is open and based on respect, is supported.
TUM Diversity Month – How can you participate?
At the Technical University of Munich, we believe that true inclusion starts with allyship. That is why we are celebrating the TUM Diversity Month June 2025 in the spirit of “Bridging the Gap: Allyship for an Inclusive Organization” – a month-long initiative dedicated to fostering meaningful conversations, learning, and action. Allyship is not just about supporting others; it is about actively creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered. Throughout the month, the Staff Unit Diversity & Inclusion will be hosting a series of events designed to spark dialogue, build connections, and inspire change. But this initiative is not just ours – it is yours, too!
We invite every team, department, and individual to join us in shaping this journey by organizing their own events, workshops, or discussions under the “Bridging the Gap: Allyship for an Inclusive Organization” theme. Together, let us turn intention into impact and live a truly inclusive organization!

- Wheelchair basketball
- Wheelchair basketball is a paraolympic sport. We train performance and joie de vivre, strengthen self-confidence and self-determination. At the same time, the sport should always be fun, and exercise should also be an encounter. Above all, we want to enable our young players to experience the positive effects of a team sport and encourage them to shape their lives independently and with self-determination.
