Unconscious stereotypes about social groups can distort how we perceive and evaluate a person's performance. Just two examples of why it's worth taking a closer look at these often implicit factors.
The 45-minute lecture by Dr Lisa Horvath, consultant from Graz, followed by a discussion is aimed at everyone interested in gender and diversity topics at TUM.
Not only will various examples of unconscious individual and group dynamic biases that can occur in the university context be presented, but strategies will also be discussed on how to reduce these biases.
TUM executive leaders (professors and administration department heads) can join the consecutive workshop for in-depth application of the presented concepts in their everyday working and research environment.
