How can you change the world with your work? What role do curiosity, creativity, and technical understanding play in shaping future technologies? And how do you get started in research? These and many other questions will be the focus of the special event “Girls for science” on July 25, 2025, at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching near Munich.
The event is open to female students aged 15 and above who are interested in science and technology and would like to learn more about the work of female researchers and developers. Participants will gain exciting insights into current research projects, meet inspiring personalities, and have the opportunity to conduct experiments themselves. Personal stories, open discussions, and a look behind the scenes of the laboratories will make this day a special experience.
Participation is free of charge, and lunch will be provided on site. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m in German.
If you need a letter of invitation or confirmation of registration to submit to your school, please feel free to contact outreach@mcqst.de by email.
