  • "Being a scientist is not a job. It's a passion, a way of life". With her keynote, TUM Ambassador Maya Schuldiner opens the Afterwork and provides insights into the course of her outstanding career in science, which shows that an active family life and international success in the job are possible at the same time.

    She will give tips on how to make the career to professorship as a woman, answer questions and discuss with participants. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to network virtually and exchange ideas.

    Prof. Dr. Maya Schuldiner has held the Dr. Gilbert Omenn and Martha Darling Chair in Molecular Genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel since 2016. An award-winning, and world-renowned scientist, she was elected to the Leopoldina National Academy of Sciences in 2020. In the same year, she was honored by TUM as TUM Ambassador. In addition to her outstanding research, she is a mentor, promotes young researchers, and is a determined advocate for equality and diversity.
