Get an overview of the various support and further education services offered by the Munich Student Union in the areas of counselling, diversity, culture and intercultural issues. Individual offers for female students from the areas will be presented.

MentorING Programme - Promoting Female Talents with Corinna Weber (Alumna of the programme) and Simone Schönfeld (Cross Consult)
mentorING has been in existence since 2002 and is thus the oldest and one of the most successful mentoring programmes at TUM. It supports female students in their orientation on the job market as well as in their personal and professional development. The focus of the programme is on building a sustainable professional network. In the current programme, partner companies such as Intel, GOOGLE, Rohde & Schwarz, MaibornWolff, Attempto, Knorr-Bremse and others are involved and support female students with their mentors in their professional development and career entry. Workshops and training courses also offer the opportunity to deal with current professional topics. As an Alumna of the programme, Corinna Weber talks about her experiences. Simone Schönfeld introduces the concept of the MentorING Programme. - TUM Coaching for Female Scientists and Science Managers with Anja Quindeau, TUM Gender Equality Office
What does systemic coaching mean? And how does it work at TUM? The programme will be presented together with coaches from the TUM Coach Pool. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to get to know the coaches and their methods in small groups.
- Balancing study and career with family life with TUM Family Service
Exchange of experiences and joint discussion on balancing of family and career or studies (including care of family members) at TUM.
- The Advantages of Student Engagement – Why and How to Participate in IKOM as a Volunteer
IKOM [in German only] is a student initiative at the interface of university and industry. With a team of over 50 volunteers, we organize career fairs, workshops and excursions for TUM students of all programs. But IKOM is more than that! Being part of IKOM means having the opportunity to take on responsibility during your studies, master challenges as a member of a professional team and to grow as a person. In this session, current IKOM members will tell you about their volunteer experience and the personal advantages and the fun they’ve gained from being part of IKOM.

In this break-out room we will discuss gender stereotypes and biases: both our own and those we encounter through other people in everyday life. How are people influenced to follow certain types of behavior and quick assumptions and what are the underlying reasons for those? Depending on your interests, I am happy to talk to you about the extent to which injustices in medicine, the judiciary system, politics, technology, the media and the work place affect our gender-related perceptions.

We introduce you to the UnternehmerTUM initiative Women Start-up (Susanne Traugott), the TUM start-up consultancy (Alina Friedrichs) and a sustainability start-up (guudcard) (Susanna Mur). One of the most important topics for a start-up is financing - Amanda Birkenholz from UVC will offer an input session on this.
- Femtec Career Building Programme with Lisa Ballat, student and Hanna Krasowski, PhD student, and Annkathrin Swanson, TUM Alumna and Femtec Alumae e.V. (FTA)
The Career-Building Programme prepares female STEM students over three semesters specifically for exciting challenges in the working world. The FTA is a network of over 900 highly qualified, technically enthusiastic and committed women in STEM professions. We will present the programme and look forward to exchanging ideas with you.

Team ELDA [in German only] has a strong focus and vast experience in social inclusion through sport and health and successful expertise in leading educational international projects e.g. making social inclusion open for all as well as empowering women in health innovation.

TUM4Mind with Marein Orre, TUM CST – Academic Coaching
TUM4Mind was launched 2 years ago with the goal of creating mental health awareness among students. The centerpiece is the Mental Health Awareness Week at the beginning of each semester. After a presentation of the previous program and experiences, we will ideas about possible further impulses or formats.
