Facilities run by Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern / Munich Student Union

Here you can find information and details on application process and costs at following childcare facilities:

 

  • Please read the registration conditions of the daycare facilities run by Studentenwerk München/Munich Student Union.
  • Applications can only be made after your child is born.
  • Children under 1 year are also eligible for admission to the daycare facilities.
  • By filling out the application form (available from TUM Family Service), you can register your child for daycare, 5 days a week. Daily booking hours can be selected upon conclusion of a contract.
  • Please send the application form with the required documents (proof of employment at TUM, birth certificate) to the following address:

  • Once your application is received and checked, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • You must confirm your need for a childcare place once a year. In December, Studentenwerk München/Munich Student Union will send an automatically generated e-mail requesting re-registration to the e-mail addresses of the parents specified in the admission form. Because of the large number of addressees, this e-mail might, depending on the mail program, land in your spam folder. If you do not receive a re-registration request e-mail in December, please contact Studentenwerk München/Munich Student Union, Studieren mit Kind department, without delay. If you do not re-register by the deadline indicated in the e-mail, your child will be removed from the waiting list.
  • Important Information for the Pfifferlinge Day Nurcery: Please register for a chilcare place at Pfifferlinge Day Nurcery additionally via the online plattform kita finder + of the city of Munich.

The applicable fees depend on the location (Munich, Garching or Freising) and the type of the childcare facility (day nursery or kindergarden/daycare center), the child's place of residence, parental status (TUM student or employee) and the hours of childcare booked.
