KidsBox and Games Box
At the locations Munich and Garching you can lend a KidsBox (moveable nursery) and a Games Box. Both of them will help parents to take care of their children in emergencies or outside of regular care hours.
KidsBox
The KidsBox is a fully equipped moveable children’s room in which the child can play, but also rest, while the present parent is working or learning for the next exam. Therefore, the KidsBox is perfect to bridge a period without suitable child care.
Two KidsBoxes were financed and acquired by the Department of Electrical Engineering. They can be lends to interested TUM members at the campus locations in Munich and Garching. There is also a third KidsBox which can be lend at TUM Campus D in Munich (more information here).

Games Box
The Games Box of the TUM.Family – Kids, Family and Elder Care Center can be used for short-term care. It can also be lend for events, when the faculties want to offer an accompanying child care. The Games Box can be collected in the Augustenstraße 46 (the location of TUM.Family) and easily transported to the “place of action”. The Games Box can also be lend to the other TUM locations. The toys that can be found in the box are also suitable for older children (until the age of 12 years).
