German Diversity Day 2021

The German Diversity Day takes place every year since the initiation through the association Charta der Vielfalt e.V.

In 2021 the German Diversity Day takes place on 18.05.2021. Last year 800 organizations and institutions with 1.600 actions participated.

TUM was the first university to sign the Charta of Diversity in 2007. With this act TUM committed itself to create a working space which is free of prejudices and exclusion. A working culture, which is open and based on respect, is supported.

German Diversity Day – How can you participate?

You can start around the date 18.05.2021 (also throughout the whole Summer semester 2021) your own event or action for diversity and tolerance! This can help sensitize students, employees, colleagues or the public for the topic diversity at TUM! For instance, you can organize a panel discussion about the topic diversity or a workshop focusing on a familiar topic. Another option is to do a photo or video campaign with your employees and colleagues. Every campaign, event or action helps to raise awareness for this important topic. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need support or if you already have planned an event, campaign or action. We will collect all actions of TUM and register them at the Charta of diversity, for getting media support within your target group.
