Webinar: Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Pregnancy, Birth and Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights

Recorded, available on YouTube | The Women in Global Health Germany COVID-19 Task Force is organizing a series of webinars. This is the first webinar that Women in Global Health Germany is hosting together with Women in Global Health Somalia where we discussed how the COVID-19 crisis impacts the daily work of midwives and obstetricians as well as the general health care services in both countries. Panelists shared their experiences and perspectives on the impact of COVID-19 on pregnancy, birth and SRHR in Somalia and Germany. The speakers also highlighted the common challenges faced by healthcare workers in both countries as well as the difficulties of access and availability of key healthcare services.

The Center for Global Health at the Technical University of Munich is concerned with the promotion of health as well as with the prevention of ill-health at a global level. It brings together and initiates research projects and teaching activities that address global health issues across different disciplines. The Center for Global Health therefore connects researchers of different faculties and their research foci.
