Lecture Series: Shaping Work-Life Integration Together
A lecture series by the family service offices of Bavarian universities, universities of applied sciences, and university hospitals

Work-life integration concerns all of us: students, researchers, faculty members, and staff in administration and technical services. Different stages of life, such as the birth of a child, caring for family members, or planning for long-term financial security, bring challenges that extend beyond the boundaries of work, study, and research. Universities therefore have a special responsibility to create conditions that enable people to successfully combine academic and professional responsibilities with family and personal life.
Because work-life integration is not an individual issue but a shared responsibility best addressed through collaboration, universities and higher education institutions across Bavaria have joined forces to establish the lecture series “Shaping Work-Life Integration Together.” By pooling resources, expertise, and networks, they have created a diverse program of talks on topics related to balancing work, study, family, and personal responsibilities.
This cross-institutional initiative not only creates valuable synergies but also provides access to expertise and practical knowledge for participants from all participating institutions. It serves as an example of a modern higher education culture that actively promotes family-friendliness, uses resources efficiently, and creates added value through cooperation.
Together, we can achieve more, fostering a higher education landscape in which study, work, family life, and personal aspirations can be successfully combined.
Below you will find the online lectures offered by the institutions participating in this joint lecture series. Please register using the link provided for each event.
For participants from other institutions: Please be sure to follow your institution’s internal regulations regarding working hours and, if necessary, obtain approval from your supervisor before attending.
